A Christmas Wish: 2018 Toy Drive for the Children of Arlington and Darrington

This year, A Christmas
Wish has partnered with the Arlington Boys & Girls Club to fulfill the Christmas wishes for approximately 800 children. To fill this important gap it will take Arlington businesses, service clubs, and citizens coming together. This year, names are being collected from the Arlington Community Food Bank, DSHS, Kids Kloset, Apple Preschool, the Arlington Community Resource Center, and the Darrington Community Resource Center.

We are asking the communities of Arlington and Darrington to join us in making a difference. The Boys & Girls Club, Arlington Grocery Outlet, 7 Lakes Dental, American Legion Post 76, S&S Roofing, and Symmetry Chiropractic will be accepting donations of unwrapped gifts. Banks and credit unions in Arlington and Darrington will have giving trees where you can choose a tag and purchase a gift, or make a donation and we'll do the shopping for you. Unwrapped gifts will be accepted until December 13th.

For more information please contact: Tina Davis at 360-631-2159, Vanessa Pawley at 425-941-0726, or Sara Katanik at 425-220-3585.

Let's all get together and make this a memorable Christmas for the kids.

Carbajal Family Memorial Blood Drive Set for Saturday, December 15

Celebrate life this season by donating blood!

Due to an increase in accidents & surgeries and the decrease in donations with the upcoming holidays, our local blood supply is in great need with most blood types. We had a loss of donations over the Thanksgiving holiday and are issuing a major appeal for blood donations. Whether you are a veteran donor or have never donated before, please consider rolling up your sleeves to help out at our blood drive. All blood types are needed, especially O+, O-, A-, B-, and AB-.

The Bloodworks Northwest Mobile bus will be at the City Hall Parking Lot (entrance at 2nd and Olympic) on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (closed from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. for lunch).

For health history questions, please email schedule@bloodworksnw.org or call 1-800-398-7888. To sign up, contact Katie Phillips at (425) 760-4096 or email katphil00@comcast.net.
